"Holiday Cards" at Work

My hand will fall off
if I have to sign any
more damn Christmas cards!

This one looks funny because "if I" and "to" are such short words for 1 syllable and "christmas" is so long for only 2 syllables, but... I promise it's 5-7-5, and I promise it's really true. My hand feels like it's going to fall off.

Thanksgiving Weekend Open Thread

I know many of you have witty and enlightening haikus in your heads, just waiting to get out, but I don't haiku prolifically enough for you. I'm sorry.

My big problem is that I come up with fabulous haikus just as I'm about to get up in the morning or just as I'm falling asleep. And by the time I get around to writing them down, they're gone. Like yesterday, I wrote this fabulous haiku about how I had this dream that the Husband was going hunting, and if the Husband wanted to remain in a matrimonial state with me, he would not do that. But it disappeared. And, frankly, that's not a very good haiku subject.

But to make up for that, I'm inviting you to write your very own haiku this week. Thanksgiving themed or otherwise. And we can all chat about them.

So, dear reader, please haiku. For my enjoyment.
